Lecturer (w/m/d) for “Sustainable Finance and Accounting”

as soon as possible. Academic environment The lecturer position is located at the TUM Campus Straubing for Biotechnology and Sustainability (TUMCS) and is intended to provide decisive support for teaching in the field of "Sustainable Finance and Accounting".

Responsibilities

The main task is the implementation and further development of teaching. Against the background of the growing importance of sustainability for financial, investment and accounting decisions in companies and financial institutions, the focus of teaching will be on sustainable financing and sustainable account ing. The focus is on the systematic integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects into central corporate decision-making processes – both in investment and financing decisions as well as in accounting, reporting and disclosure obligations. A central element of teaching is to provide students with theoretically sound and at the same time practical skills. They are to be enabled to make, document and analyse financial and accounting decisions in line with ESG criteria. This includes methodological skills in financial analysis and investment valuation as well as knowledge of the accounting and reporting requirements in the complex context of sustaina bility. Methodologically, the lecturer can work in the field of empirical research, statistics as well as in financial mathematics and incorporate these findings directly into teaching. Teaching in the Bachelor's and Mas ter's degree programs of the TUMCS is in English and German with a teaching obligation of 15 semester hours per week. In addition to teaching, participation in academic self-administration and active participation in committees is expected. If desired, there is also the opportunity to get involved in research.

Qualifications

We are looking for a personality who can demonstrate special achievements in teaching in an internationally recognized scientific environment. A university degree and an above-average doctorate in a relevant subject area or a comparable special pedagogical aptitude are required. Habilitation or habilitation like achievements are welcome.

TUM offers excellent working conditions in a lively scientific community and is embedded in the excellent living and research environment of the Munich metropolitan region and Straubing. The environment at TUM is characterized by a cosmopolitan climate with English as the recognized working language. The position is permanent, but the employment will initially be limited with remuneration according to TV-L up to E14. A permanent contract is made after a positive evaluation, which usually takes place after two years.
